In short: CallParents keeps everything on your phone. It has no servers,
no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. Nothing you enter ever leaves your device.
CallParents ("the app") is a personal reminder app that helps you stay in touch with people
you care about. This policy explains what the app stores and why. The app is provided by
KdK Development (contact below).
What the app stores
All of the following is stored only in the app's private storage on your device:
Group names and optional nicknames you create.
The phone number and display name of each contact you add through the system contact picker.
The date/time of the last contact for each person and group.
Your settings (reminder interval, reminder time, minimum call length, theme, language).
This information is never uploaded, synced, or shared with the developer or any third party.
Permissions the app uses
Call log (READ_CALL_LOG) — Optional. If you grant it, the app checks your
call log on your device to see whether you recently called a person you added, so it
can reset that group's reminder automatically. The call log is read locally and is never
transmitted or stored; the app only keeps a single "last contact" timestamp. The app works
fully without this permission — you can reset reminders manually instead.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — Used to show your reminder
notifications. No content is sent anywhere.
Run after restart (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — Used to re-schedule your
reminders after the phone restarts.
Contacts — The app does not request permission to read your
contacts. It uses the system contact picker, so only the single contact you choose is passed
to the app and saved locally.
Data sharing
None. CallParents does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no
third-party SDKs, advertising, or analytics in the app, and the app makes no network connections
for your data.
Data retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it in the app (for example by removing a
contact or group) or uninstall the app. Uninstalling CallParents permanently removes all data
the app has stored.
Children's privacy
CallParents is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not
knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Because the app keeps data only in its private on-device storage and never transmits it, your
information is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new
effective date.
